“Despite the forecast, live like it’s spring.” – Lilly Pulitzer
Some days feel heavy before they even begin. The forecast might say gray skies, long meetings, or moments that test your patience.
Spring is not just a season. It is a decision.
It is the choice to show up with light when things feel dim. It is the willingness to grow, even when conditions are not perfect. In classrooms, in leadership, and in life, we often wait for the “right time” to feel energized, hopeful, or inspired. That time rarely arrives on its own.
You create it.
Living like it is spring means choosing renewal over routine. It means noticing small moments, planting new ideas, and believing in forward movement even when progress feels slow.
Growth begins with awareness. Reflection helps shift your mindset from reacting to intentionally choosing how you show up.
Where am I waiting for conditions to improve instead of creating momentum myself?
What would it look like to bring energy, curiosity, or optimism into today, even if it feels difficult?
What is one area of my life or work that is ready for renewal?
Change does not require a full-season shift. Small, deliberate actions can create the feeling of spring in any environment.
Start one new habit this week that signals growth. It could be as simple as a five-minute reflection, a new instructional strategy, or a conversation you have been postponing.
Bring visible energy into your space. Rearrange, add something meaningful, or shift your routine to reflect movement and possibility.
Choose one interaction each day where you lead with positivity. A single moment of encouragement can shift the tone of an entire day.
Spring is not something you wait for. It is something you live into.
Even when the forecast says otherwise.
