“Science is not the truth. Science is finding the truth. When science changes its opinion, it didn’t lie to you. It learned more.” ~ Brené Brown

This quote is a reminder that growth is not inconsistent. It’s integrity. Learning requires humility, curiosity, and the courage to revise what we once believed when new evidence emerges. Changing your mind is not a failure of conviction; it’s a commitment to truth.

In leadership, education, and life, this matters deeply. When we allow ourselves (and others) to evolve in our thinking, we create cultures where learning is valued over being right, and progress is valued over permanence.

Thoughtfulness lives in the willingness to say, “I know more now than I did before.”

Reflection:

Where might I be clinging to certainty when curiosity would serve me better?
