“Your education is a dress rehearsal for a life that is yours to lead.” – Nora Ephron

The First Day of School

For a student, the first day of school is filled with nerves, excitement, and unspoken questions: Will I belong? Will I succeed? Will I be seen?

It’s a day when backpacks feel heavy not just with supplies, but with hope.

The first day is less about new pencils and schedules and more about possibilities. It’s the starting line of a journey where each student deserves to know: you matter here, your story belongs here, and this year holds space for you to grow.

Reflection Prompt for Students: What is one thing you are most curious or excited about as you begin this new year?
