What Are You Contributing?

We often think of contribution as something big. Leading an initiative. Solving a difficult problem. Creating something new. Receiving recognition for work that made a visible difference.

Contribution is not always loud, formal, or easy to measure.

Sometimes it is asking the question no one else has considered. Sometimes it is sharing an idea, offering encouragement, or helping a colleague see another possibility. It may be creating space for someone whose voice has not yet been heard. It may simply be bringing calm, curiosity, or kindness into a difficult moment.

Every person contributes something to the spaces they enter. The question is whether we are intentional about what that contribution will be.

As you begin this week, consider:

What do I contribute when I enter a room?

Whose work, growth, or confidence could I strengthen?

Where might my experience or perspective be useful?

Am I making space for others to contribute, too?

A few small steps:

Name one strength you can offer this week.

Notice someone whose contribution may be overlooked.

Share one idea, resource, question, or word of encouragement.

Before the week ends, reflect on what changed because you chose to contribute.

Contribution is not about having the biggest role. It is about recognizing that your presence, choices, and actions can add something meaningful.

What will you contribute this week?
