Mindful Monday

November is an in-between month.

Early fall's brightness begins to fade. The trees let go of what they no longer need. The days grow shorter. The air changes. Before the rush of December arrives, November offers something quieter.

A little space.

It is easy to treat this month as a bridge between Halloween and the holidays, a stretch of calendar to hurry through while we make lists, finish projects, plan gatherings, and prepare for everything that comes next.

November deserves its own attention.

There is something meaningful about a season that does not ask us to bloom, begin, or reinvent ourselves. It simply reminds us that change can be gradual. That letting go is part of growth. That slowing down is not the same as stopping.

Maybe this month we do not need to fill every open space.

Maybe we notice the bare branches against the sky.

Maybe we take the long way home while there is still some daylight.

Maybe we sit at the table a little longer.

Maybe we allow ourselves to be exactly where we are, somewhere between what has been and what is coming next.

November does not need to be rushed. Neither do we.
