Easing Back Into the Rhythm

Coming back after a holiday break can feel strangely exhausting. We step out of rest, out of slower mornings, out of unstructured time, and suddenly the calendar fills, the inbox grows, and the pace quickens. It’s easy to feel like we should snap right back into full productivity, as if the pause never happened.

Transitions take energy. Re-entry is a process.

Today’s mindfulness is about honoring the in-between space. The place where rest and routine overlap. Instead of judging yourself for not being “back to normal” yet, notice what your mind and body are telling you. Fatigue doesn’t mean you’re unmotivated; it means you’re recalibrating.

Permit yourself to take your time:

  • Start with small wins.

  • Re-establish rhythms gently.

Bring forward something from your break that nourished you. A slower pace, a breath before reacting, a moment of gratitude.

The swing of work will return as you ease yourself into it with intention and self-compassion.

Here’s to a week of steady steps, softened expectations, and mindful momentum.
