Be Careful What You Wish For

Democracy gives us a voice. Leadership gives that voice direction.
But sometimes, in the rush to "have a say," we overlook the weight of what we’re saying yes to.
We wish for quick change, but forget change takes roots.
We wish for new leadership, but don’t ask what kind of leadership we’re inviting in.
We wish for fresh ideas, but silence those willing to do the steady, quiet work of progress.
The truth? Democracy is only as strong as the collective discernment of those participating in it. And leadership is only as strong as the trust and wisdom that surround it.
This week, pause before rushing to the next decision, demand, or vote of confidence.
Ask yourself:
Who stands to gain?
Who stands to lead?
Who will do the work, not just wear the title?
Be careful what you wish for because in every wish lies the seed of what you’re willing to follow.
